To update the baseline feature in Primavera P6, follow these steps:
Launch Primavera P6 and open the project you want to update the baseline for.
Go to the “Projects” tab and select the project from the list.
In the top menu, click on the “Project” dropdown and select “Maintain Baselines.”
The “Maintain Baselines” dialog box will appear. Here you will see the existing baselines for the project.
Select the baseline you want to update from the list and click on the “Update” button.
In the “Update Baseline” dialog box, you can choose to update various aspects of the baseline, such as the project start and finish dates, activity data, resource data, and cost data.
Select the options you want to update and click on the “Update” button.
Primavera P6 will update the selected baseline with the new data you provided.
Once the update is complete, you can review the changes by going back to the “Maintain Baselines” dialog box and selecting the baseline you updated.
You can also compare the updated baseline with the current project data by going to the “Project” tab and selecting “Compare Baselines” from the dropdown menu.
In the “Compare Baselines” dialog box, select the updated baseline and the current project, and click on the “Compare” button. This will show you the differences between the baseline and the current project data.
Remember to save your changes regularly to ensure that the updated baseline is stored properly in Primavera P6.
